Concord River Boat Launch in Bedford

Bedford has a very nice boat launch providing access to the Concord River, where it crosses route 225. Here is a map which shows the access on both sides of the river. You can also generate directions by right clicking and then selecting “Directions to here”.

On the East side of the river is the official boat launch area with a dock:

(I don't know what the contraption at the dock is. Looks like an elliptical trainer on floats.)

However, the gate at the entrance to the launch area closes at 8:00 PM. So for those interested in boating late, it is good to know about the option on the other side of the river:

You have to carry your boat a little further on this side, and there is no dock. But it is fine for Canoes and Kayaks.
